Spoken. Two Russians and their families

arrived from Canton per S.S. Kinshan on 5th May, 1927. Sergeant Koretsky was not available at the time so I took their statements this morning. They both speek fair English

and the wife of Kougler speaks good English. They are going on to Shanghai by the S.S. Preussen, Jebsen & Co., they were to have gone straight on board but the ship has been delayed and does not leave until 8th May, 1927. They have arranged to go on board when the ship arrives this afternoon and will stay on board until she goes. They are accompanied by an Annamite named Le Huy Doan, he was born at Vinh, Annam, and on answering an advertisement whilst staying at Tientsin he was sent to Canton as an English

He has French and Punti interpreter to the Trade Mission. passport issued at Annam, with British visa.

6th May, 1927.
